Green Tea Sake

Ingredients

1 cup water
2 green tea bags
1/4 cup sugar
1 pint sake, chilled

Preparation

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a pot, add the tea bags, shut off the heat, and let steep for 2 minutes. Squeeze out the tea bags and discard them. Add the sugar to the brewed tea and swirl it around so it dissolves. Chill the green tea syrup until cold. Mix the sake with the simple syrup and pour it into sake cups.
