Ingredients

2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon superfine sugar
2 ounces whiskey
3 or 4 ice cubes
Chilled club soda
Slice each of lemon and orange (optional)
Maraschino cherry (optional)

Preparation

  1. Put the lemon juice and sugar in a collins glass and stir to dissolve the sugar. Add the whiskey and ice cubes and fill with club soda. Stir quickly. Garnish the drink with fruit slices and cherry.
