Savory Broccoli Custard

Ingredients

3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Dash of nutmeg
Pinch of pepper
Lots of cooked broccoli

Preparation

  1. Mix all the non-broccoli ingredients together. (You can tell which ones they are, because they aren’t green.) Lay the broccoli in a baking dish (the quantity really isn’t important). Pour the cheese mixture over the broccoli and bake it in a 350°F oven for 30 minutes. Since what you are really doing is making a sort of broccoli custard, it is wise to rest the baking dish inside a larger pan with about 1 inch of water in the bottom.
