Ingredients

3 tablespoons butter
4 large Granny Smith apples (about 2 1/4 pounds), peeled, cored, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
2 tablespoons golden brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon grated orange peel

Preparation

  1. Cook butter in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until beginning to brown. Add apples and sauté until tender, about 9 minutes. Add all remaining ingredients; stir to blend. Cool. (Can be made 2 days ahead. Cover and chill.)
